We head down to Thorpe Park to check out Fright Nights for 2020. With a new maze and a host of new scare zones this years proves to be a little different to previous years but still aiming to provide some thrills!
Just hours before the event starts we headed down to Thorpe Park for a look at the last minute preparations for this years Fright Nights. With 2 mazes, Platform 15 returning with a new route along with the all new Roots of Evil, replacing Blair Witch 2020 at Thorpe Park sees no IP mazes for the first time in many years, shaping up to be a classic original event. We head back to Chessington as the fast paced Croc Drop continues to take shape. Also in this update we take a look around the park at the preparations for Halloween, with a live action maze and a walk through all setting up for the October event.
Its been a couple of years since our last visit to Drayton Manor, Air Race was new and everything was up and running with a positive outlook. Fast forward a few years and the park have been through a lot, closed rides both permanent and temporary, flood and little to no investment the park went into administration in 2020 before being brought out. We take a trip down to Thorpe Park to have a look at some of the preparations for Fright Nights 2020. Although the event seemed gone at first the park will open with 2 mazes, performances ad roaming actors for the Halloween event. From in park we take a look around with Platform 15 confirmed to return along with the new Roots of Evil behind Jungle Escape area. Although not a lot can be seen in park at this early stage we go through the proposed lineup along with some footage from around the park.
We headed back down to Bursledon for Charles Coles Fun Fairs on opening night, complete with Classic including Twister, Miami, Waltzer this was also joined by the Swing out Project X and the Orbiter. Sit back and join us for some POVs of this excellent fair.
After late planning permission at the end of last year, we knew a drop tower would be coming to Alton Towers for 2019, however the location at the time was unknown. Many including us thought this may be heading into the Dungeons as the finale ride like many others across the UK, but we know know the location of the new towers. Cbeebies Land will again be expanding with two junior bouncers heading into the Land at the back, located next to Mr Blooms Allotment. Animal Adventures is back at Chessington February 2019, running from the 16th to the 24th February you will be able to enjoy the event complete with the Zoo and selected rides. With the return of ” How to be a Zookeeper Live”teaching you what its like to be a zoo keeper the event will also have Chessington Zoo and Sealife open.
