The biggest project at Chessington in 30 years comes in the form of Project Amazon and the World of Jumanji coming in 2023. The new area featuring a world first is a 20.5m investiment for the park, with a 55 foot Jaguar Shrine! This will feature the parks first roller coaster in 19 years!

October 24th 2021
We are all systems go as the area set aside for the new land is fenced off ready for construction to begin.
November 20th 2021
From a distance you can see the old beach on the ground has now been cleared, not too long until ground work will begin.
March 12th 2022
Annual pass day and the park opens Ground work is now underway with much grass clearing now taking place. New signs advertising the area have also gone up.
April 2nd 2022
Foundations and bases go down at a huge rate as we take a close look at the site.

The first footers have now started to go down, as the path for the roller coaster starts to go into place.
April 28th 2022
Pace is now picking up as drilling has begun, a path for the area is now starting to take shape.

Foundation bases have started to go in as the path of the roller coaster becomes really clear.

Footers and the base for the main structure continue to go down, we are expecting to to go vertical very soon!

The main structure for the theme is going up very fast, its expected this will still be much taller than what it is.

The main structure is really starting to take shape, you can make out what it will be and certain get a sense of how big this and the project on the whole is.

More ground work and structure has gone into place as we start looking at other area which will start to go vertical, larger trenches have also appeared around the site.

What a difference a week makes! The station area building is now going up at fast pace, with it really showing how the layout will look in the station.

Ground work and station structure continues to progress on site, with the ground behind the station prepared for another building to go up shortly. Also check out our video from the site!
August 5th 2022
Since our last update, much more visable work has taken place on the site. With the second building now up also comes exterior work to the “cat” structure with it taking even more shape, metal mesh has crafted the look with concrete spray being added from the base up. Ground work at the top of the site is complete with hole now filled in and more foundations taking shape. Be sure to check out our video from the construction below.

The announcement has finally happened and the World of Jumanji is coming to Chessington fro Spring 2023. Construction since our last update has moved at a rapid pace, with the areas main structure fully taking shape, with workshops and station coming along at a huge pace. Ground work around the area continues for the flat rides as we await the track…!
September 10th 2022
We are back at Chessington for another update, as supports have arrived on site! The brown supports (track will be green) arrived this week and have now been placed on site ready to be installed. Since our last visit all footers now have bolts ready, the entrance area to Jumanji World is clear, as to is the paths and location of the Flat rides. Further work has been done to the station in addition to the Jaguar now being nearly complete in the outer shell. The pace will start to pick up really fast now…!

We are back at Chessington for another update, as supports have gone vertical! Many have now arrived at the park as we take a look at the selection, with 2 now in place as the construction starts to pick up. More to the Jaguar structure is complete including details and colour.

We are back at Chessington for an update to The World of Jumanji, with station contruction taking shape with the building, stairs and some theme being added since our last visit. In addition work continues on the Jaguar with the detail becoming incredible and setting the standard from what we expect from the area next year.
