Welcome to Chessington World here on UK Theme Parks, thank you for visiting. This is a fan site for Chessington started in 2001 with guides, features and history to help cover the park past, present and future.
The grounds of Chessington date back to 1348 with the “Burnt Stub Mansion” being built as the Chessington Lodge. The house went through a lot with the wars before it was opened as the famous Chessington Zoo in 1931. It was in 1987 after investiment it became Chessington World of Adventures.
