New for 2022 was Shipwreck Coast, taking a popular area of the park in Pirates Cove and expanding it with 2 new rides. Incorporating both Blue Barnacle and Sea Storm, the area is joined by barrel Bail Out and Trawler Trouble. Take a look at the progress from the build here is photos and videos.
February 20th
Although we are expecting two new rides in 2022, with one being the Rockin Tug from Thorpe Park. Work around the area has yet to start with no work taking place on Sea Storm.
March 12th
The area around Sea Storm is now being closed off as work will begin shortly.
April 1st
Work starts on the upgrades to Pirates Cove, with Sea Storm still having extended refurbishment the only ride open remains Blue Barnacle. Foundations are going down for the two new rides.
April 9th
Foundations for the Barrel ride really start to take shape, check out the video from the park.
April 28th
Foundations continue to go down for the new rides.
May 11th
The Tug boat has now arrived on site, the boat previously of Thorpe Park has had a full makeover.
May 19th
Activity around the area has really picked up, with Sea Storm’s new center piece now on site. A lot of work is happening around the area as they still look for a Spring opening.
May 27th
The entrance to Sea Storm around the back has started to be constructed, with the topof the Barrels ride now in place we can get our first look as the ride cars.
June 18th
Sea Storm has now re-opened on soft opening to the public, work on the theme and other rides continues. The new Sea Storm logo looks fantastic!
June 27th
The rides are now testing with finishing touches being added. Some great throwbacks for fans to look at around the area with more hidden gems left to find.
July 2nd
The area has opened up more as we can see in around the Trawler Trouble ride, The new pen for the Goats is also being constructed with more theme is being added with even more easter eggs to be found.
July 8th
This is our final update from Shipwreck Coast with just a week away until opening. Works around Blue Barnacle continue with finishing touches around the rest of the area.
