Twisting... Turning... Looping!
Widely regared as the turning point for Thorpe Park was the worlds first ten looping roller coaster, Colossus!
Colossus, although based on a ride with 8 inversions, is still to this day fairly unique, and offers an excellent experience to the thrill seekers!
100 foot hign, Colossus drops you into a loop, before shooting you down the other end to the cobra rolls, back on yourself into two corkscrews, then into a unique four line inline twist, before another one just before the station.
Theres no chance to catch your breath, don't be fooled into thinking this ride was just to break records, its still a top thrill ride even now! |
